Operating Aviz - Light Setting

In addition to color setting, another feature of Aviz that enhances the three dimensional appearance of an illustrated set is light setting. Click on Elements --> Lights to open the Set Lights dialog box which enables you to control the lighting of the rendering.

Eight spotlights can be activated independently, shining from different positions such as 'Top', 'Bottom Right' etc. This is done using toggle buttons labeled accordingly. For the images and animations presented in this web site I used the default option 'Top Right'.
A slider labeled Global Ambient Light is used to set the level of ambient light. A high level lightens up the shadows in the rendering.
The shininess of the rendered spins/atoms is set using a slider labeled Surface Shininess. Note that the shininess effect is most prominent in 'Final' rendering mode.
Pressing Apply or Done activates the setting.
